Clear Sight Music artist, V Rose, shares with us her excitement regarding her new deluxe album set to release on Feb. 25. She explains, “After traveling to different cities, following the release of my first album I got to see what songs the fans loved the most. One of them being my single ‘Battery’ which just about stands alone as the E.D.M record of the album. This really inspired me to write more electro-pop music that my peers and I can rock out to with a message that mom and dad won’t think twice about blasting in the car.”
V. Rose released her debut album in August of 2011 which included features from label mate FLAME and John Katina (lead singer of The Katinas). The project also included singles “Not So Average” and “Battery” feat. FLAME. When speaking of the single for the project which releases later this month, she stated “All the songs bring a different flavor which is what I really love about this deluxe, however my favorite right now is ‘Turn Up Your Light.’ I feel so confident about the message in this song and the strong yet ‘lets party’ delivery. I wrote this song while driving through downtown Los Angeles in awe of the city lights. The lyrics and melody came out of a freestyle about the scenery. I’ll never forget that moment. I was so inspired to write this record with a ‘lets take over the world’ attitude that I was feeling. As a Christian pop artist I want to inspire people to stand up and shine their God-given light, His light, and take over the darkness that’s in this world. By turning up your light, you will encourage others to turn up theirs.’
The new release also features a music video from her single “Battery” feat. FLAME. “I had the incredible opportunity to work with actor and director Kel Mitchell on my music video! A lot of people don’t know that Kel is a director–let alone an amazing one–but after reading the treatment he wrote I was more excited than I’ve ever been,” she said. She went on to explain the months of work and rehearsal to prepare for the video. “I honestly underestimated how much work it was going to be. Meeting with two different choreographers weekly not to mention personal rehearsals–all for a three and a half minute song. I felt so honored to be on set with such humble talented people that day from my manager & producer SPEC–who by the way did so much of the behind the scenes work–to the directors and the PAs and even the investors Kingdom Wear LLC and Prolific MGMT. Everyone stepped up to knock this video out of the park. I know when you see it you’ll understand right off that a lot of hard work went into this nonstop 18-hour shoot.” She mentioned her label mate flew in on his way to Sydney, Australia to feature in the video. “We actually shot FLAME’s part during his layover. He flew in and out the same day! It was fun to do some acting with him. We partnered in a running scene after a serious stare down took place–which I could barely do without laughing! I can’t wait for everyone to see this Light VS Darkness battle of the fittest phenomenon!”
