(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) July 14, 2011–Dove Award nominee and urban contemporary artist Beckah Shae will release her fifth studio album, Destiny, on Shae Shoc Records Aug. 16. The record is meant as a call to action for listeners to pursue their eternal destiny in Christ.
Destiny, produced by Jack Shocklee (Montell Jordan, TobyMac, Group 1 Crew), is an explosion of club beats and bold color. While the record may incorporate similar sounds used in current Top 40 hits to entice listeners and race up the charts, Shae’s songs serve as a wake-up call for this generation.
“The entire CD is really an anthem for those who have their eyes and heart set on the prize,” says Shae. “It’s a reminder of the victory that belongs to us. This life gets tough, and I want those who are fighting the good fight to listen to these songs and be encouraged, edified and strengthened by them!”
Songs like “Are You Ready?” prompts believers and non-believers alike to get in position, reminding them that God’s greatest victory is but a breath away, while “For Such a Time as This” echoes His purpose for our existence here on earth. Lead single “#putyourloveglasseson,” available now via iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/putyourloveglasseson-single/id427238547, intends to stir up love and good works, that it may provoke hearts and minds to think about their destiny.
Destiny, which will include two additional hidden tracks on the physical disc, is currently supported by lead radio single, “#putyourloveglasseson,” new and active this week at Christian CHR. The song also has a music video that premiered nationally on Air1.com late last month. To view the official music video, visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crr4rCABxAk. Shae will be on the road performing music from her latest offering via select festivals, church performances, and other concerts. Go to www.beckahshae.com/tour for a complete list of show dates.
