“I feel as though we’re all addicted to something. I left it to, ‘I’m addicted to blank.’” Tragic Hero says that everyone can relate to being addicted to something, and “Nothing You Can Do” is about trying to break free from it.

“You don’t have a conclusion in it. It is literally just talking about the struggle.”

Many Christian hip-hop fans may recognize Tragic Hero for his features on albums from artists and groups such as Canon, Social Club, Alex Faith, Swoope, and others. He featured on Canon’s 2013 album Mad Haven and 2014 EP Loose Canon Vol. 2 and has an interesting story of how that came about. Tragic Hero was a volunteer at a concert of Andy Mineo and Lecrae, the latter of whom Canon usually travelled and performed with. Tragic Hero was one of the security personnel watching the crowd. He met Canon backstage, saying,

“Canon showed a lot of love. He was like ‘Man, I’ve been hearing about you,’ this, that, and the other, and ‘we gotta do something.’”
