Tragic Hero, who has worked with artists such as Christon Gray, Swoope, and Canon, has released the first single, “Winter,” from an upcoming project with a title that has yet to be released to the public.
At SXSW 2015, Tragic Hero talked about his new single in an interview with Jam The Hype’s Chris Chicago. He also spoke on his appreciation of Grammy award-winning producer Wit’s production.
“I had that song actually written for another artist,” Tragic Hero said. “It was just one of those songs that just felt really really good. We’re still in that season so I said ‘Why not.’ It was great. It just came together really well. I gave [Wit] a voice memo, [and] he flipped it. Wit is amazing. You got to hear some of the stuff on this new project. It just came together organically. My friend Tom came over, played acoustic guitar on it, [and] it just came out right.”
Tragic Hero was included in JamTheHype.com’s “5 Artists Poised To Blow Up In 2015” article. Hero has developed relationships with some of the most recognized artists and labels in Christian hip-hop. In addition, he continues to release well-received music. Many believe he will be inking a record deal in 2015.
“Yea, I’m looking at two different deals,” Tragic Hero said.
