OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:

TJ Pompeo has revealed new info regarding his upcoming project. The singer/rapper/producer will be releasing his debut retail EP entitled ‘Pompeiio’ on November 13, 2015.

“The story behind the EP title is somewhat of a history lesson in itself,” says Pompeo. “Pompeii was a beautiful, thriving port city in Ancient Italy. Then in 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted and covered the entire city in volcanic dust and ash. Now, what remains of the city is known as the ‘Ruins of Pompeii.’ I wanted to take that story, spin it into a metaphor for my EP, and discuss the different volcanoes (Pride, envy, lust, anger, pain, loneliness, etc) in my life and my walk that have attempted to erupt and create the Ruins of ‘Pompeiio.’ Plus, I’m Italian, and my family lineage stems from the Napoli and Pompeii region, so it just made even more sense to adopt this as the title and concept for the EP.”

Pompeo has taken the past 4 years, released nothing but free music, and has utilized that timeframe to travel alongside Da’ T.R.U.T.H., tour, develop his crafts, and come into his own as an artist.

“I’m finally confident in my uniqueness as an artist. I’ll be the first to admit that the beginnings of my career up to about two years ago were very much so driven by my desire to copy a certain sound, reflect a particular artist, or mimic a specific branding. However, I no longer feel like I’m trying to fit that mold, and I’m grateful for that breakthrough. The diversity that I bring to the table is something I’m proud of and have officially embraced. I know ‘Pompeiio’ will showcase that diversity, alongside some immense transparency.”

The tracklist for ‘Pompeiio’ is as follows.

01. Pompeiio
02. Feelin A [Way] Ft. J.Paul & Canon
03. Next Time
04. Shots Fired Ft. Sho Baraka
