DJ Vlad sat down with Reach Records rapper Tedashii and asked about his thoughts on the return of multi-platinum selling rapper Mase.
To give a compact brief history on Mase, he had incredible momentum in the late 90’s after being discovered by Bad Boy Records CEO to date, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, and released his first studio album, Harlem World. However, after his second studio album, Double Up, he took a long hiatus from the music scene and in this time, he had proclaimed that he had given his life to God and became the pastor at El Elyon International Church in Atlanta. Fast-forwarding to the year of 2014, Mase featured on several tracks over the last few years by known names such as Trey Songz, Wale, and more. The-rapper-turned-pastor-turned-rapper-again has recently announced his return to rap this year with a brand new project and Tedashii weighed in with his thoughts on VLADTV. Tedashii not only says that he is a fan of, and follows Mase’s activity, but he also shares his heart about what he thinks of Mase’s position, how he doesn’t believe he left music indefinitely to an extent since his 90’s exit, and how he even met and conversed with Mase in person on a plane ride.
