Chicago, ILOne of gospel’s most respected music labels, Tyscot Records, has signed Chicago native, T.S.O, to their NEW Christian Hip-Hop Division, Tyscot LOUD. Tyscot is home to gospel greats like Deitrick Haddon, Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, and Shirley Murdock.

“This is something that Tyscot Records has always wanted to do, and now the timing is right,” Tyscot LOUD Director and A&R, James Logan, said. “Through 18-month contracts, we are able to partner with talent that we believe in, provide artist relations, give them a larger platform, and bring them together to collaborate on a mixtape, hosted by DJ Wade O.”

Born on the south side of Chicago and raised in East Chicago, IN, T.S.O was heavy into street life and even witnessed his father’s shooting. Shortly after his 18th birthday, he learned that he would soon become a father. It was at that moment that he realized he had to make a change. Two years later, with the help of his younger brother, T.S.O enrolled into Indiana University. He met Derrick Puckett, who led him to Christ on April 2, 2008. T.S.O hasn’t looked back since and continues to use his gifts to glorify God.

“I’m dealing with about 15 new artists, and T.S.O stands out because he has a great work ethic and his character is not flawed,” Logan said. “He’s a genuinely good guy who thinks things through and plans very well. I’m extremely excited to have him on board and look forward to our continued relationship.”

T.S.O has shared the stage with artists including Da T.R.U.T.H., Canton Jones, Flame, Thi’sl, Jai, D-MAUB, Tye Tribbett, Demita Haddon, Chris Searcy, and more. Listeners can expect a new single from T.S.O featuring Canton Jones and Uncle Reece on October 6.
