TR.U.-L.I.F.E is back on the Christian music scene, and he is ready to make an impact with his new label, PURE Platform Media (PPM) and his new artist, Chasity. The debut single, “We Win,” from Chasity’s upcoming EP, is an in-your-face fusion of R&B meets Hip-Hop, Rock, and Soul. “We Win” is a collaboration of the hearts and minds of several people: award winning producer, Levester White, Chasity, and internationally known recording artist Swift (who is best known for his chart-topping hit “Awesome God”). “We Win” is an anthem for anyone that has ever felt overlooked and underestimated. Often feeling counted out, herself, Chasity set out to write a song that encouraged the underdog. Written from the perspective of Christ, “We Win” is meant to uplift the Gideon inside, by Christ saying: “I’m here, I won, and if you are with Me, “We Win.” This is why the overcomer’s anthem, “We Win,” exists. Chasity, an Austin, TX native, took root in Southern California in 2010. Since then, she has ministered at the San Diego County Fair’s Gospel Fest, the San Diego Praise Fest, and a host of SoCal church events. In spring 2015, Chasity will launch The PUREMusic Media Arts Academy, an after-school program that allows middle school students to dabble in photography all the way to audio-engineering. PUREMusic is an artists-encouraging-artists initiative, which focuses on giving back to young listeners by cleaning-up the message behind today’s music. Chasity’s passion for teens is clear. As a psychology major at Azusa Pacific University, Chasity is fully aware of the fact that “suicide is the third leading cause of death for youth between the ages of 10-24” (CDC, 2014). Having battled depression, herself, Chasity has a strong desire to minister to anyone that shares that common bond. Therefore, the triumphant message behind “We Win” doesn’t stop at the end of the record but pours over into the video, by highlighting the rapidly growing epidemic of cyber-bullying and teen depression. In this day and age, due to its ever increasing popularity, Hip-Hop has the attention of the masses. With topics such as bring back our girls and human trafficking making their way into Hip-Hop lines, “We Win” focuses on yet another topic for Hip-Hop to address, cyber-bullying and teen depression. Between PUREMusic and the message behind “We Win,” Chasity certainly has her hands full, but she has sat quiet long enough. Chasity is ready to share what God has placed on her heart.
