Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is currently an NBA MVP candidate. He topped LeBron James in final all-star voting with 1,513,324 votes for the 2014-2015 NBA regular season. Curry ranks top 10 in points per game, 3-point field goal percentage, assists, and steals, among other things. As of today, his squad, Golden State Warriors, have the best record in the NBA (55-13). It’s safe to say that Steph Curry influences our culture. The all-star point guard also has a love for Christian Hip-Hop and a relationship with Grammy award-winning emcee Lecrae.

Tru School Sports founder and Jam The Hype correspondent Brendan Taylor had a chance to catch up with Steph Curry at the Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets game on March 13. During the interview, the baby-faced assassin spoke on his relationship with Lecrae, Under Armour shoe release party, and more.

“We have a pretty tight relationship,” said Stephen Curry in his interview with Brendan Taylor. “He’s a guy that I admire with the way he is taking his message and his faith and being able to reach millions of people across the world and represent Christ. For him to be doing what he is doing and the message that he is preaching and to be able to kind of mix that with what I do on the basketball court and with what my shoe represents to bring it to the release party was crazy to think about. These two guys who are huge believers represent for the Lord in different ways and different areas but all for the same goal. I appreciate him coming out and supporting. I support his music and all his work as well.”

Lecrae’s relationship with various professional athletes has been well-documented over the past couple of years. He was featured in ESPN Magazine with Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett in January. Crae has done chapel services for teams in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and more.
