South London born rapper, Serene is all set for his independent debut release “Different Strokes” which is set to drop on the 1st November for free download. At the age of only 19, Serene has been in the music scene for almost 10 years. He first hit the stage with former Christian rap and dance Group A.F.G nexus who broke up in 2005 but Serene went on with his music carer and featured on the hit song “Bibles Bibles” and featured on Guvna B’s album as both rapper and producer. He wrote his first song only at the age of 11 years old and from then he knew that God was calling him to greater things especially in the area of music. Serene attends Calvary Chapel South London where serves under Robert (tha pilgrim) & Efrem (e-miner) from the Legendary cross movement group M.O.D. he is also planning to study at Oak hill Bible College where he’ll be undergoing Biblical Theology and world missions. He has a real heart for the truth and wants to make it plain in his music. He says ” I don’t really care how much downloads I get or how many albums I sell or how many shows I do or whatever, I just want to see Christ and his death and resurrection Glorified and Magnified above all things! And I want to communicate the truth through my music, the pulpit and my daily lifestyle”
Serene (19) is an artist under New D Ent/D-vine Muzic, which consists of New Direction crew, S.O and super producer GP (d-vine muzic). They don’t only look after him as an artist, but they mentor him as a young man and as a young Christian. Serene was also mentored by U.K hip hop sensation Jahaziel and toured around with Jahaziel. He understood the importance of discipleship and has learned a lot from being around such well respected artists. With a strong team behind him and with the right guidance Spiritually expect more great things from this young artist.
