“So Many Records” is a song on Borne Identity featuring JGivens and Gemstones that challenged Sean Simmonds as an emcee. “When I first heard the track I knew exactly who I wanted on the record. I knew I wanted Gemstones and JGivens and the purpose of that was not just to say I had two dope lyricists on the record, it was really to challenge and push me to let people take me seriously on this new endeavor that I was doing from am emcee’s standpoint.”

Sean Simmonds also says that “5 Below” is a special song for him. “It’s almost like chasing a hundred, and you’re at ninety-five and you’ve only got five more to go, but that five is the hardest five to get a hold of and you almost feel lost, purposeless, and lost in a wilderness trying to find this last five.” It is also two-fold. You are always chasing the last five and always left out in the cold, as is the temperature is five degrees below zero.

“5 Below is just a personal song that reflected a bit about my struggles and my confidence in regards to truly depending [on] and trusting God through a process where I couldn’t see the end but I felt so close to being there.”
