Sean Simmonds’ new album is called Borne Identity and wants people to be able to see who God created them to be. He wants to be able to show people his diversity in his abilities to sing and rap and that both can be done well.
“Of course we are all born with a certain identity, sometimes certain circumstances: life in itself, people you associate with, all these different factors play into jading who you really are, who you were born to be.”

He wants to allow people to see and embrace the identity that he believes God puts into each individual.
He released a free EP in summer 2012 to show people his transition from mainly singing to rapping as well, but since then his new album has been two years in the making. “It was just hard. [I dealt with] writer’s block, creative block, all of those different things. I know every artist experiences that at one point in time, especially when they’re creating an album, but it was tenfold for me because I had been away for so long and I was overthinking everything.”
