Artist: Resurrection Light Featured: Production: Cortney Westbrook Album: Eyes of Understanding(EP) Purchase: Release Date: July 27, 2010 Label: Hometown: Tupelo, Mississippi Website: website Bio/Notes: Representing Jesus Christ since the year 2000, it all started in an apartment in Tupelo, MS, with two guys named Robbin Ruth and Keena Robins. For countless days, nights and weekends, the two sat in the living room with a Yamaha Big Jam beat machine, a four string Peavey Bass Guitar and a small amplifier. At that time they had no musical background or experience, only a love and a passion that pushed them to create what is now the changing agent of the 21st Century. Their love for music drove them to form what they believed could be the greatest musical group the world has ever known. For 10 years now they have still kept the genuine humility and love for God and music. In 2007 Robbin Ruth met Cortney Westbrook, a multi-instrumentalist that played keyboards for a local church. With this dynamic trio they have now blossomed into a well-founded group that seeks souls for Jesus Christ. Their music is very eclectic and peculiar. In listening to it one would categorize it as Gospel/Contemporary Christian with an inspiration of Futuristic Flare. There motto and mission is simple, but yet powerful: “We are a group of young souls representing the musical side of Christ. We characterize Him in everything we do, from each step we make to each breath we take. Just as the scripture, our music is inspired by Christ. We pray it will touch, change and impact the soul of every listener.” Through hard work, determination and faith we are inspired to make a change in the music industry. This world needs love, enlightenment and truth. We have set out to take part in the fulfillment of changing the globe with our music. And, with the strength of Jesus Christ we are very confident that we will do just that. This is our gift. This is our talent. We are Resurrection Light and Life is music. Music is life. |
