THE REP ’13TH FLOOR TOUR’ NOW BOOKING!
If you have lived in Phoenix, Arizona long enough, then there is a good chance that you have heard of “The Rep.” This artist, also known as Brandon Kagel, is a native to the fastest growing city in the US. He was born into a Jewish family as a triplet with two sisters and an older brother. Although, he did make the news for his miraculous entrance, he is better known for his ability to create music and touch lives.
“The Rep,” who is currently the best-selling local gospel rapper, has moved around 3,500 copies of his album Street Prophecy. Other area Christian rappers consider that a success since he didn’t have any distribution or promotion behind him.” (-Phoenix New Times https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2004-0…) -2001
Since the release of his first project in 2001, titled Street Prophecy, “The Rep” toured across the U.S. and appeared on T.B.N. on three separate occasions. Not only has he raised the ears of the Gospel industry, but he has also captivated the minds of the secular alike. “Proof,” a former member of Eminem’s “D12,” contacted “The Rep” in interest of his music prior to his unfortunate murder on April 11, 2006. In March of 2009, “The Rep” released his second album, Say No More, selling a thousand copies in the first 3 weeks. Again, he did it with no promotion or major distribution! In the same year “The Rep” was personally invited to perform for the Arizona Cardinals during a playoff game of their Super Bowl run during chapel service. “The Rep” has become the most sought after gospel rapper in Phoenix, Arizona! What separates “The Rep” from most artists is not talent, but character. He is a dedicated husband and father of 2 beautiful children. For the last 10 years he has been invited into hundreds of churches around the world to minister the gospel, as well as perform. In addition, for over several years he has partnered with The Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Greater Phoenix, a non-profit/pro-life organization, going into high schools and teaching the youth about sexual purity and abstinence. His vision is to flood the message of truth through MTV, BET, and every major entertainment source. Imagine if you will an artist with the ability to attract every mainstream hip hop listener and at the same time connect with the devoted followers of Gospel music. What you end up with are record high sales and millions of lives changed.
“This is an album that will be a classic, with no consideration needed to be made.” -Dasouth.com (Say No More, album review)
