“I try to lead people to hope and make it available to them. I’m a believer. I’m a Christian but I myself don’t like when people force things down on me so I try to treat people how I want to be treated and if I was in their shoes, how would I want to hear that good news?”

Promise wants his music to be tasteful, applicable, and easy to understand. “God has given me a heart for those who don’t know Him so that’s who I always have in mind. How can I reach this person?”

The music of Promise is inspired by life stories. He considers himself a storyteller in his music.

“Ninety nine percent of my stuff is either a true story or based on a true story. I don’t sit down and try to fabricate things. To me it seems too hard. It seems backwards. We experience life in so many different ways. How can you not want to talk about it,?”
