Marcus Jackson aka Kadence the Eastside Drummer is arriving back on the scene after leaving Exodus Movement over 2 years ago to pursue inner city youth missions in OKC. Most known for his production (Lecrae “GoHard”, “More”, Thi’sl “I Signed up to Die”) and affiliation with Exodus Movement and PositiveHipHop.tv, Kadence put up the mic to go be a LIGHT in the community he was raised in.
After a very productive season in missionary work with Youth for Christ, Kadence has returned to the studio for a new project “Band Camp (The Warm up). After receiving support from multiple friends and fans he felt compelled to release a FREE project for his undying supporters. “It really touched me to not have put out any music in almost 2 years and people still tweeting and messaging me on FB asking for a new project. I’ve had folks from other continents contact me about music and I know its long overdue.” Putting all his time into local missions, discipleship and youth pastoring, Kadence had to take a break to lay the foundational grounds for the work to be done in Oklahoma city,OK. Now with the help of his manager and long time friend “Hiltoe” he has expanded his team of missionaries, including the likes of other well known artists, (B-les and Sean C. Johnson to name a couple) giving him the time he needed to get back into the studio and pursue his passion for HipHop and production. Releasing his first song/video ” The Warn Up aka Drummas Back” (view HERE) Kadence is making a statement that he’s still got it and wants everyone to enjoy his art. March 19th.
