Bio/Notes: I go by Martay and what I crave to do is point people towards the “Most High”. Taking into account what St. Francis of Assisi says – “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words”, I view music as an influential avenue to reach others with the Great news of Jesus Christ. There’s no need to always be speaking and letting my mouth run. The Gospel is bigger than that: It’s absolutely necessary to walk it out.. demonstrate it.. perhaps even depict it through music.
Most of the world is seeking for something that’s deeper than what we can see, hear, taste, and touch. And most are tired of people talking about it.. we want to witness it first hand. This is why the Martay Music Outreach exists: to bring music to the table that glorifies Jesus and empowers spiritual maturity.
Life for myself has not always been this way- I grew up in the small town of Salinas, California where Jesus is not a priority for most young people. He was hardly on my mind until I hit the age of 15 and could not stand the pain of my parent’s divorce any longer. I hate to say it, but my life was in shambles and God was my last resort. So, I decided to turn to God on April 24, 2005 and ever since then my life has changed. My priorities in life soon shifted, the pain eventually was no more, and for the first time- I WAS FREE. Many people seek freedom and relief in other things such as: the media, beauty, drugs, sex, and the list goes on… but it doesn’t have to be this way. We can find everything we need in a personal savior, Christ Jesus. Knowing this, I can’t help but share Him with others.
