Lecrae x Andy Mineo Collab Album?
At Legacy Conference 2011, Lecrae’s Reach Records announced that they inked a deal with New York-based hip-hop artist Andy Mineo (fka C-Lite). Many fans of Mineo’s music got familiar with his work, through hearing the Sin Is Wack movement, “In My City” (the GBIMC Anthem), and of course his collaboration with Lecrae for “Background,” which appears on ‘Rehab.’
Since 2011, both Lecrae and Andy Mineo have dropped various Billboard-charting projects as Reach Records artists. They have made an impact on Hip-Hop culture. Most recently (In 2018), Crae released a collaborative album with super producer Zaytoven (Gucci Mane, Migos, Future) titled ‘Let The Trap Say Amen.’ Mineo released his ‘I: The Arrow’ EP, a project Justin Bieber was even listening to. Lecrae and Andy Mineo have been working together for a significant amount of time. They have crafted dope collab tracks over the years.
Now, the two Billboard-charting artists are gearing up to hit the road for their ‘Better Late Than Never’ tour (Ft. WHATUPRG, nobigdyl., Wordsplayed). The tour kicks off in Kansas City, MO on September 21. Tickets HERE. In addition, they dropped two 2018 collab tracks (“Didn’t I” & “Coming In Hot” in July).
Mineo and Crae are also posting a ton of pictures together in the studio.
All the facts compiled in this article leads us and others to ask a question. Are they working on a collab PROJECT? Some fans of the two are definitely making their voices heard in the comment section. They want an Andy Mineo x Lecrae album.
If they aren’t going to get it done, it doesn’t help that Mineo teased a collab project with Crae back in 2016 via social media. Whether he was trolling or not, he got some of his supporters hopes really high! They are connecting dots more than ever now. Hopes are higher than ever.
