He says that he approached the creation of this album differently than any of his seven previous albums. “I went for moods and feelings as opposed to making a hot beat and killing it as much as a can.” K-Drama began with basic beats to give him moods to inspire his writing.

“Show Me The Reason” is a song on The 8th that sticks out to K-Drama. “The song is about not sensing hope, not sensing that things will get better. I think as Christians we go through that and a lot of times we don’t want to be honest with ourselves and then before we know it, it festers and blows up.”

The song is about struggling with doubts about God and Christianity. “I would be lying to you if I said I don’t have doubts.” K-Drama said that there were some people he knew who had cancer, so he and his family would pray for them every night. As time passed, four out of the five people he was praying for died, which was very discouraging for him.

“I think it’s the most honest song on the album and I’m very vulnerable.”
