“Struggle” speaks about the difficulties that Json has had throughout his life and the perspective it has brought him. He says it is important for him to be able to identify with the struggles of non-believers because he was not always a Christian.
“It’s really like a testimonial type of record.”
“Ohh Yeah” features Steven Malcolm and “is one of those records talking about being on the grind as believers, being willing to work, but recognizing that we’re able to work not because of the strength that we have but because of the strength that lies within us that comes from the Lord.”
Json says that his producers did a great job on that song and is excited for people to hear it.
“Live On” is a song on Foreign, Vol. 1 that Json says is unique compared to all the others. “It’s not a turn up kind of record but its really a reflective record.” Json was inspired to write the song by a man he worked with who had spent twenty years in prison and when he got out, wanted to have a fresh start at life.
“I remember him telling me ‘Man, I just want another chance.’ That line really sparked the song.”
