Last week, Flame’s “Joyful Noise” (ft. Lecrae & John Reilly), off his Grammy-nominated Our World Redeemed, made its debut on Billboard’s Hot Gospel, Gospel Streaming and Christian Streaming charts.

In the Billboard reporting week of July 19, the song charted at #1 Hot Gospel Songs, #1 Gospel Streaming Songs and #4 Christian Streaming Songs.

“Joyful Noise” was released in 2008 and nominated for a 2009 Dove Award (Best Rap/Hip Hop Song).

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (July 1), FLAME, Chike Ojukwu, Lecrae and Emanuel Lambert (Da’ T.R.U.T.H.) filed a lawsuit against Katy Perry and some of her writers.

The suit claims that Katy Perry and her writers infringed the copyright of “Joyful Noise” for her song “Dark Horse.”

*Da’ T.R.U.T.H. helped write “Joyful Noise.”
