Manuel “Jblaze305” Garcia has become one of the most respected Radio Personalities in Urban Gospel. He has been involved with the movement since the early 2000’s as a member of the Miami collective “Mindstate”. Blaze will tell you himself, that he has been involved in Urban Ministry since the days Cross Movement took the industry by storm. In 2004 he was diagnosed with Kidney failure and decided to leave his crew so he could focus on his health. Despite going through a major setback, Garcia decided to keep his dream of making an impact on youth alive by interning at two Gospel Radio Stations in Miami, WMBM 1490 AM & WMCA 89.7 FM. Fueled by his new love and passion for Radio, he decided to take his craft to the next level by going to school. After learning all he could, he teamed up with DJ Tony Chiva to create a mixtape radio series entitled Friday Night Fuego. The responses to the tapes were so overwhelming that Manuel received an offer from Miami’s #1 Spanish Gospel radio station La Nueva 88.3 FM (WGNK). Since then, Jblaze has teamed up with marketer and brand developer Andre Mullen. As a team they have changed the name of Friday Night Fuego to FNFLive to appeal to a wider audience as well as form the name into a multi-platform brand via internet (FNFLive.com) and Television (Fuego TV). Jblaze has also had the opportunity to conduct interviews or host events that have included heavy hitters like Funky, Redimi2, Manny Montes, Andy Mineo, Sho Baraka, Rhema Soul, Tye Tribbet, Mali Music, Toby Mac and much more. All of these things are great but Garcia believes he is called to impact this generation even more. Manuel Garcia and his longtime partner Andre Mullen plan on launching a media takeover for the Kingdom. The vision is much greater than Radio.
“I want to be able to purchase my own Radio Stations, Television Networks, and much more so that believers can have options and are not limited” – Manuel “Jblaze305” Garcia.
Manuel Garcia and Andre Mullen recently made an announcement via their Radio program that hints towards the fulfillment of their vision being much closer than some think. Recently the duo revealed that they will launch an innovative wireless company for Latinos and by Latinos called Mi Gente Mobile. What makes Garcia’s new venture innovative, exciting and beneficial is that Mi Gente Mobile is a Socially Responsible Company that’s committed to delivering a quality experience for all of its subscribers. Through Clover Wireless the company has established a recycling program that gives people an opportunity to either save on their next phone purchase or make a contribution to a charity of their choice. From their previous work with FNF Media group, Garcia and Mullen are well versed with connecting to the Hispanic/Latino demographic. The devices will have exclusive content, apps, ringtones, and operators that cater to Latinos; something that hasn’t been executed to its fullest potential by other brands. Mi Gente Mobile will also make available the latest android smart phones including the popular Samsung Galaxy S3. With their connection to the Sprint USA Network, Mi Gente Mobile will deliver a high quality mobile experience. They are pushing the envelope and bringing something unique to the table. Garcia and his partner Mullen (FNF Media Group) have been known for their impressive work ethic in the faith based Hip-Hop world (FNFLive Radio, Fuego TV, and more). It’s apparent that they will apply it to new levels for Mi Gente Mobile. The duo has already released several dynamic videos, the official logo and an online spot where people can get information from. Mi Gente Mobile is honored that DaSouth.com has partnered with them in order to get this information to you, the potential subscriber. Make sure you follow Mi Gente Mobile on twitter (@MiGenteMobile) and on Facebook. Sign up for updates and official launch info at signup.migentemobile.com.
