On Tuesday, October 23rd, Christian hip hop artist JayLafé will release his second studio album, The Skylines EP. A seven-track project featuring production from Grammy-nominated producer Tony Stone and more. Skylines explores the tensions of existing in a fading world while hoping in a better future. Loosely inspired by fifth-century African theologian Augustine’s work The City of God, Skylines is a careful critique of secular humanism and urban idealism blended with hopeful proclamation of the Gospel as humanity’s ultimate refuge. Skylines brings a unique flavor of lyricism and song concepts with bold, risk-taking production. It will be available as a free download. Hebrews 13:14 – “For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.”
