Jam the Hype is picking artists for the 2018 of 3 of the biggest Christian urban events all year.  We draw up on our network of artists who have built with us throughout the year.  However, we still have some spots open so you may submit by sending email to media@jamthehype.com with your best video and/or best single, and a description of why you want to be a part of our artist family and part of the particular event(s) that you choose.

The Kingdom Experience at SXSW

The Kingdom Experience is held in Austin, Texas every year during the Music Festival portion of SXSW, the nation’s largest music and media festival.  This year the dates are March 14-17, 2018.  The Kingdom Experience has been the definitive place for Christian artists to perform at SXSW.  Artists are pretty much chosen, but there can be last minute cancellations and performance spots may open.

Flavorfest

Flavorfest has long been THE place where Christian urban artists and ministers gather to network and get fresh teaching on how to do ministry.  During the day, national ministry leaders and artists teach on various topics of urban ministry.  At night, the conference opens up to the public for packed concerts.  Flavorfest is hosted by Crossover Church in Tampa, Florida and Pastor Tommy Kyllonen who is widely recognized as the godfather of Christian hip hop.  Almost every Christian hip hop artist has performed at Pastor Tommy’s church long before, and after, they became widely known.  As an urban leader, you will also gain a ton of insight and practical advice for doing urban ministry, running and planting churches.

Flavorfest is still open to artist submissions through February 1st. Apply at https://flavorfest.org
