J. Han started making music in 2010, the year that AMP, a hip-hop group that he is a part of, released their first album. At that time, he did not have a high view of music as a form of art. “In terms of art, I definitely saw it as a way just to convey a message. I’m not saying that’s the only thing to focus on, nor am I hating on that, but I feel like as I’m developing, understanding art and music and composition, I’ve been realizing that aesthetics in music is very much important when you look at classical musicians.” As time progresses, he is realizing that he has the potential to encourage Christians and to inspire all with his art.
“I’m very privileged to have my eyes opened to see the sin of the world but also to see how we’re able to get past that because of who God is and we have access to Jesus. I’m in a great place to make art that can impact culture and also inspire those around me… Being unafraid to express myself freely musically is something I’ve been trying to get a better grasp on.”
