Chicago-based artist Hector Dominguez is gearing up to release a new single “La Cultura” featuring Salsa, Merengue Veteran JoseDaniel. “I feel that Latinos have been demonized,” Hector says, “I don’t want people to be afraid of me because of my heritage.  I created this song as a way to celebrate my Latin pride”.

La Cultura translates into The Culture and Hector has merge a plethora of sounds and styles to bring us this unique sound of Rap and Salsa. “I grew up listening to artist like Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and I have always wanted to merge both worlds together so I knew asking JoseDaniel to do the hook would be special.”

“For the artwork I also wanted to pay homage to my heritage.  I chose to paint the album cover with a rooster on the cover because when I was little and visited Puerto Rico, I knew it was time to wake up when the Rooster sang or cuando el gallo cantaba”
