Guvna B also works with a charity called Compassion, which focuses on helping people in need through child sponsorship programs in third world countries. Recently Guvna B went to India to perform and visited one of the Compassion shelters during his time there.
“I was really inspired by what I saw so I thought that it was only right that I make a song to try and translate that message that if you’re privileged enough to be able to sponsor a child, then you should because it makes a huge difference.”
Guvna B loves performing. “[After] all the hard work in the studio, you’re able to express it on the stage with a band or a DJ and its real fun. I like traveling the world and I’m performing as much as I can because I think it’s important to get out there. There’s a lot of negativity out there so its cool for Christians to be out there performing.” From being on tour, he has heard many stories of how his music has positively impacted listeners, such as from “people that have been self-harming, heard the music and thought, ‘I know there’s more to life now,’ so that’s been cool.”
