What’s going on with Rhema Soul’s forthcoming record Dope Beats Good News 2?
“Dope Beats Good News 2 is in the mixing process. We will have it ready by September so we can release it on October 8. We are doing a lot of planning right now so the album is pretty much done, recorded, and produced. Dope Beats Good News 2 consists of 12 songs I believe. SPZRKT, Social Club, and Rey King will be on it. Rey King did a verse, but he is the only producer that I chose to do co-production with me on one track, which is really dope. I got to build with him a few times on my trips to Florida from Cali. I really like his style as a producer; he has a dope vision with a lot of things. It’s pretty exciting because I never collabed with any producer. The energy between Rhema Soul and I is at a whole other level than it’s ever been, being that we have grown so much. Also, we had a season where we didn’t work on music so this is like a family reunion. You are going to feel great energy on this album. It’s been a minute since Fingerprints. It’s going to be great.” – Gawvi
What G-Styles wants people to understand about DBGN2.
“This album is not a Christian Hip Hop album per se. It will have the message. When you hear the album, it’s a bunch of believers enjoying life and just talking about certain situations. So it’s not going to be literally preaching, but just a lot of fun tracks and a lot of tracks that have a different meaning behind it.” – Gawvi
