Forward is FLAME’s 8th album. Out of all of his albums, his favorite song of his own is “See More Him” from his Our World Redeemed album in 2008. The chorus references a bible character Zaccheus, a tax collector who climbed a tree to be able to see Jesus among a crowd. FLAME says that Zaccheus went to an extreme measure for Jesus, and in that way he wants to be like the character.
“It’s just a heartfelt record man. I wrote it at a special period of my life and that’s one of the records that I really enjoy.”

FLAME released his first album over ten years ago and has seen Christian hip-hop’s changes over the years. He says that he accepts people not wanting to label their music as Christian rap, and thinks of that as a separate genre. What he considers Christian rap is music by artists who have an evangelistic purpose and message in their music and he believes that this genre has not changed in terms of the message.
He is not making a promise, but says that since he and Json have now moved back to St. Louis after living in other cities for several years, there is a possibility that they will try to work on a group project with Thi’sl.
