He believes that American culture is increasingly secularizing and that internationally pressure is being put on Christianity, including physically persecution and imprisonment of Christians is some places. He wants to talk about issues in America such as a heightened awareness to racism and classism.[/column]

“All of these kinds of things are putting people in a panic and I think it’s time for the Christian to say, ‘Man, let’s talk about these [things] and think through how to move forward and engage a changing world, but without losing the gospel.”

FLAME wants to give people a Christian vision of reality. “We need to have open, honest discussions. We need to let people know, ‘You know, I care about social deals, I care about classism, racism. I care about sex trafficking. I care about abortion. I care about all of those things, but here’s why. I care about them for transcendent reasons as a Christian.’ And then laying out why we are so passionate about those things.”
