He loves how modern technology allows him to collaborate with artists who are far away from London, such as Americans Da’ T.R.U.T.H. and SPZRKT who were featured on Airborne. San Fransisco Bay Area producer Black Knight produced Faith Child’s “Tunnel Vision” featuring Da’ T.R.U.T.H.
In 2013, Faith Child was on tour with Da’ T.R.U.T.H. in Nigeria and they got to know each other. In 2014, Faith Child had Da’ T.R.U.T.H. come to the U.K. for a birthday party concert for the TV show that he hosts, Uprise Music TV. Da’ T.R.U.T.H. told him that he wanted to make some music with U.K. artists, so they were able to make “Tunnel Vision” and were creative enough to make a music video for it without Da’ T.R.U.T.H. and Faith Child having to be in the same place.
He wants to make current social issues appeal to Christians in his album, mentioning homelessness in one of his songs; something that he can personally relate to. His family was living in a homeless shelter for a time about fifteen years ago.
One of his favorite songs on Airborne is “Keeping Up With the Jonesses” featuring Jahaziel and S.O. “Look at social media; Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, we now live in a social engine driven community and world… had a good day, tell the world, had a bad day, tell the world. It got to a point where people had to feel like they had to create a fake life just to fit into society.” The key scripture in that song is “what does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul.” He thinks that the title of the song will attract people to listen to it.
I just hope people get that message and they’re touched and blessed by it.
