Dre Murray became a star on his college basketball team, and that lead to him being a self-described egomaniac. “I fell into the world of alcohol and [I was] drinking all the time and doing whatever I wanted to do.” In the middle of his sophomore year, he got very sick with pneumonia.
“I literally thought I was going to die. I was in my bed for about a week. During that time I had [many] thoughts of dying and what would happen. All my life I knew about God, I knew what was right, but I didn’t really live [out] what I knew.”
For much of his life unto that point, Murray had been running from God. Around the time he was sick, his cousin whom hd was close to was put in prison for drug related charges.
“[There] was a lot of stuff going on and I didn’t want to die. I decided that it was time for me to live the life that I should’ve been living. I just made a commitment to do it.”
As he stated this project, so it is. This isn’t a launching platform, but a failed attempt to catch flight. Even with the video interview, 1+1 doesn’t add up to quality. I think that if your name goes on it, it should be an extension of you. 66 Books that have every reference we need to know, all of which point to ONE WHO IS, ONE WHO WAS HERE, AND ONE WHO’LL BE HERE SOON.Where is that in the current messages we hear? Not every song needs to be a sermon, but the message needs the roots planted in God’s fertile soil.
