Minor Speaks On Canon’s Rehab

In December of 2014, RMG-emcee Canon was injured while being a Good Samaritan. According to the The Leaf-Chronicle, while in the Nashville area after a performance, Canon fell 20 feet into a ravine after attempting to help a wreck victim on 101st Airborne Division Parkway.  He was taken by Lifeflight helicopter to University Medical Center and was treated for a shattered ankle, a broken jaw, and a concussion. The Leaf-Chronicle reported that he would have his jaw wired shut for about a month. He was scheduled for 3-5 months of rehab. The “Loud Music”-lyricist had to take off time off from touring which was a big blow considering he is an artist who makes a living from music.

The RMG-general gave an update on Canon’s rehab. He believes Canon’s greatness will be enhanced because of the recent setbacks.

“Canon is doing well,” Derek Minor said.

“He went through his last surgery and pretty much now he is just recovering. I’ll put it this way; you’re going to want to hear what he comes out with next. The passion that’s in him right now and the things that he is wrestling and working through when he finally gets on the other side of this recovery, it’s going to change him, and he is going to be a much better artist. This is going to enhance the greatness he has already done. The reason I can say that is because I’ve been through something very similar. It’s something about when you go through obstacles. What winds up happening is for some people, it pushes them down, but for other people, it makes them rise to the occasion. I’ve already talked to him, and what he is planning on doing pretty soon is going to shock the world.

Please join us in prayer for Canon and his wife as they go thru the rehabilitation process. If you have the capabilities, please donate towards the Canon campaign to assist in any expenses they may have during the process.
