“Had Enough” was inspired by Bizzle’s song “Love We Share” from his Well Wishes album, which featured Datin and Laviosier. Most of the feedback was positive, but they did get some negative feedback, “Saying ‘why do we look so angry? Why are we so street? Why are we trying to be hard?”
“The crazy thing is… we had planned on releasing it, we had cover art for it and everything and it was supposed to release on a Tuesday. The Friday before, we put out the “Off The Leash” video and what do you know? I started getting the same type of feedback. It was perfect. You can’t orchestrate these things, this is God.”
He had addressed the remarks of the people in “Had Enough,” and it happened to come out a few says after his “Off The Leash” video, even though the song had been finished about a year ago.
Datin says he connects well with the God Over Money message because
“I literally had to walk away from the music industry and put God over money. It’s easy to scream it. It’s harder to practice it. I literally had all these opportunities presented and oh, the Enemy made sure he set me up lovely.”
After he started following Jesus, he had been given an opportunity to collaborate with an artist that he had worked to get to the level with for years, but he had to turn it down. He also turned down a record deal with Virgin Capital Records.
