Datin would hang out with this friend a lot and he said that every time they would meet his friend was planting seeds of faith in him.
“I went through some drama, some trials and tribulations. It just seemed like the Lord was just stripping everything away from my life that was not like Him… He eventually brought me to a point where I was cornered and all I could do was submit. He relentlessly pursued me.”
Datin says that when he started following Jesus, another rapper, Lavoisier, played a part in discipling him. Lavoisier connected Datin with Bizzle, and Datin says he made his Christian hip-hop debut on Bizzle’s The Messenger 3 in 2011. After that, he didn’t communicate much with Bizzle, besides featuring him on Turn It Off Vol. 1 in 2012.
After hearing some new music from Bizzle in which Datin thought the production was not good, he reached out to Bizzle, told him that, and told Bizzle about his friend who is very good in his mixing and mastering skills.
“I ain’t really know him like that. He [Bizzle] could’ve been prideful and been like ‘Who the heck are you?,’ but he was like, ‘For real man? Thank you,’ so then I became his ears.”
