In its debut week, Christon Gray‘s School Of Roses lands high on various Billboard charts.

The Collision records artist debuted at #5 on Billboard R&B albums (above Jhene Aiko’s Sail Out EP), #9 on Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums, #44 on Billboard 200, and #13 on Billboard Digital albums. Gray sold 8,000 copies of School Of Roses in its first week.

Debuting in the top 10 of the list is Christon Gray’s “School of Roses” which moves 8,000 copies to open at No. 9 with Hot Shot Debut honors. The 25-year-old singer/songwriter/producer/rapper has already graced multiple Billboard charts as a member of Christian rap outfit W.L.A.K. (We Live as Kings), whose self-titled debut set opened at No. 1 on Gospel Albums in March 2013 (with 6,000 sold). Gray took a more secular approach to his Collision Records debut, focusing on love, relationships and real-life situations as opposed to strict praise and worship-related matters.
