On June 16, NBA MVP Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to their first NBA championship since 1975. Curry, one of Christian hip-hop’s most visible supporters, is the first point guard since Lakers legend Magic Johnson to win a regular season MVP award and NBA championship. Warriors forward Andre Iguodala won the NBA Finals MVP.
Many in the Christian hip-hop community celebrated the Warriors’ performance against LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers in the championship-clinching Game 6.

Gotta give it to the Warriors. They were the better team. They couldn't miss this 2nd half. Still wish Love and Kyrie were playing.

Congrats to Golden State on the Win. Dope to see a town much like Cleveland(Oakland) get some love. No disrespect will be tolerated though.

I would have loved for Lebron to get the MVP. But Iggy getting it is well deserved.
