Artist: Celah Production: DJ Imitch Album: Yet Untitled Release Date: November 2009 Label: HipHopposite Hometown: Los Angeles, CA Website: www.hiphopposite.com Bio/Notes: elah says the title is derived from the old saying “The grass is always greener on the other side”. The song opens up talking about how it seems as believers in Christ, no matter what situation, the other side can seem attractive but we all know it just looks that way and could be border line covetness if we are not careful. Celah brings a fresh sound and perspective to a genre known for delivering biblical truth but rarely letting us in their personal lives to see how it’s playing out day by day in the literal sense. This single is an expression of Celah’s true personality. An example in the song addresses daily struggles in the workplace as a married man is approached by women and how it’s handled biblically with colorful commentary on life. This song also serves as his formal introduction to Christian Hip Hop community. Nationally know for his Hip Hopposite mixtapes, this single solidifies his brand of funny yet Christ centered approach. “I’m stuck in traffic a lot in L.A. and I wanted to make a song that everyone could drive home to and maybe relieve a little tension from the day.” This is hoped to be a feel good single for the summer. |
