Canon Benefit

Chicago, IL – Just before Christmas, Chicago born hip-hop artist Canon, now an Atlanta resident, was injured after a performance in Tennessee while attempting to rescue a driver from a car accident.  He suffered injuries that will leave him in recovery for 3-5 months.  He will not be taking any shows during this time.  Canon is recently married and works as a full time artist.  The downtime required for his recovery has left him and his family in a position of need.

Chicago based Tyscot recording artist TSO saw the need and wanted to use his influence within the city to unite Chicago hip-hop artists together for one night in honor of Canon.  Chicago has a strong community of hip-hop artists.  A large number of these artists will be coming together on January 31, 2015 for a night of unity to perform and raise funds for Canon and his family.

The event will be held in the Lawndale community at the legendary venue, Tha House Church with Pastor Phil Jackson.  Tha House Church is well known in the city of Chicago and within the Christian hip-hop community for being the first church and venue of its kind in the city.  Because of this, Tha House Church has been the go-to venue for Christian hip-hop artists who have toured Chicago.  It is also the home church of Canon and his family before he moved to Atlanta.

We encourage everyone in the area to come join TSO, Pastor Phil, and the entire Chicago Christian hip-hop community as they come together to help Canon and his family in their time of need!

About TSO
Having tapped into gospel artists Canton Jones and Uncle Reece, TSO was able to make his first musical offering under the Tyscot/LOUD Record label, “All I Know.” The song, produced by Zoemane of KingzOf, stays true to the “preach without preaching” style of delivery that initially caught the label’s attention.  Find more info about TSO here: www.TSOLMG.com
