On April 1, Jam The Hype reported that Reflection Music Group-emcee Canon is working on new music. On April 10, the rapid-fire spitter returned to performing live in Trinidad after months of rehabbing from serious injuries that occurred while he was being a Good Samaritan.
Mixed Bag Next artist TJ Pompeo, who performed in Trinidad for Open House – Be Transformed as well, expressed that Canon‘s return brought joy to his heart via his Facebook music page.
TJ Pompeo’s Facebook post is below.
I’ve seen Canon go through these past few months of his recovery process, so to see him light up the stage again tonight in Trinidad for the first time in a while brought my heart so much joy. I got super emotional. He’s been through some hell these past few months. There’s something so powerful and beautiful about people overcoming odds that were severely stacked against them. This man is a close friend, one of the most humble and selfless people I know, and as we can all see, he’s also a fighter. Love you bro. – TJ Pompeo
Also, Canon mentioned his return to touring on social media.
Same stage tonight? Wait wait wait…did you even know I was BACK?! @kb_hga#Trinidad#OpenHouse2015https://t.co/KaGHc2EJfF
