God Over Money-general, Bizzle, recently was on NFL star Matt Forte’s (with his wife Danielle Forte) podcast called True vs Truth. On the podcast, he spoke on how God transformed his life, truth, being a Christian rapper, and more.
In addition, Bizzle talked about how the mainstream music industry sometimes trys to block Christian messages.
“I don’t think people understand how intentional the industry is about blocking our message,” Bizzle told Matt Forte. “And you know, I’ve sent music to radio stations and they’ve been like, ‘Yo, it doesn’t fit the format. People might be offended because you’re talking about Jesus.’ And I’m like, ‘Yo, but you playing stuff that’s talking about twerking and killing and selling drugs and you not worried nobody going to be offended at that. And murder and all that.’ You know what I’m saying? But Jesus offends people? You feel me? Like, yeah, it’s crazy. And there was a song, I don’t know if you heard the song I got called “Royalty.” I shot a video for it and it’s just speaking life into our young women. You know what I’m saying? Coming up, like ‘Yo, you’re royalty, you’re a queen, and all that stuff.’ And there was a popular secular blog that they refuse to play my video or put my video up because they said I was slut shaming.”
