If you go to the Hip-Hop section of iTunes, you will see Lecrae’s “Rehab: The Overdose” and Tedashii’s “Blacklight” alongside some of the biggest names in music for the “Best Albums of 2011” list. And, although not pictured above, you will also find Bizzle’s “Tough Love & Parables” on the list. The list ranges from popular newcomers Drake & Lupe Fiasco, to legends like Raekwon, so this is good company. Lecrae is even featured twice, as the bonus track version of Static Selektah’s “Population Control” (you’ll remember Lecrae did the song “Live & Let Live” on that album) also made the cut. Thank the Lord for how far He has brought this genre and pray that He would be pleased to bring it even further because the music industry needs as much light as it can get.
