Cleveland,  OH – Oct. 23 , 2012— Pardon The Movement Music has scheduled the release of “Man U Fresh”, the latest single by Marques Evans,  also known as Big Cleve, for November 4th, 2012.

“Man U Fresh” is a hard-hitting track challenging the wisdom of pursuing money and status as the source of ultimate happiness and fulfillment. You caked up/Yo cheese right/It won’t mean a thing if you die to-night,echos the hook over a drum-heavy production by Alex “Big Juice” Hitchens.

In true Big Cleve style, day-to-day living is given new light and reflected back to the world in rhyme. “Man U Fresh was birthed out of my perception of people who are preoccupied with appearances. Especially when it comes to things we wear, cars we drive or even the people we surround ourselves with. I think such a perception creates the idea that having a bunch of things makes you fresh. Usually when we see someone stunting like that we say things like “Man U Fresh!” Your status as a multi-millionaire has nothing to do with your status a Christ follower or non-Christ follower. The latter will have far deeper ramifications than if you were so to speak, “Fresh,” says Cleve of the single.

Marques was born and grew up in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio. Although a self-identified church kid, Cleve remembers from a young age experiencing the pull between a life in the church and a life in the streets. Fast forward twenty years and Cleve has resolved that tension by planting and pastoring a church that seeks to be relevant to the culture of the streets with uncompromising adherence to the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Big Cleve has been making music for a number of years. “Man U Fresh” is a lead-up to his next album Generation of Grey which is currently scheduled for release in January. His latest mixtape, Mistakes on the Lake is available for free download at pardonthemovement.net.
