Last month he released a new EP Heart On My Sleeve, four years after his previous release How The Story Continues, Vol. 1.
“I worked really really hard at capturing how I felt in the valley and the low point, [and] at the peak of the mountain.”
B.Reith wanted to create music that would feel good for listeners, including songs about joy as well as discouragement. “My goal is that people would hear the struggle in the music and connect to that, but also hear the hope inside of that music.” During the writing process, he experienced times of brokenness, but despite that he always had hope.
Heart On My Sleeve was created in a three-year period where B.Reith would work on a song, leave it alone for a while, and then come back to it. When he has an idea, he likes to make note of it, however unpolished it may be, in the hopes that when developed it will become great.
