Bumps INF is an artist on God Over Money Records. He released his second retail album, Man vs. Machine, on February 11.

“I’m just who I am. I know a lot of people say that I tend to be transparent and tread waters that other artists, especially within our genre of CHH, don’t necessarily do frequently. In all honesty, it is kind of what Christ said ‘From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.’ I just try to be myself; my music is a product of what I’m going through.”

In 2005, the 20-year-old Mark James “had this searching wandering heart, just doing the typical 20-year-old stuff drinking, smoking, etc.” At that time, a friend of his that he made music with was murdered, and two months later, another friend of his died. One day, his car stereo was stolen and the only thing he had was a tape player. He picked up a tape that he found on his apartment complex’s parking lot, Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s Moment of Truth, which became the only thing that he was able to listen to without a CD player.

He would listen to the album regularly, and around the same time, Mark started hanging out with an old friend of his from high school who would share the Gospel with him. One day during that time he “woke up in the middle of the night. It was like three in the morning, and I really started crying out to God. Everything has changed since then.”
