JTH: What do you seek to communicate with your music?
Aaron: When you listen to my music, I want you to first experience The Gospel and what that life and afterlife is really about. Two, I want you to look at yourself and see “How good of a person am I? What am I doing that’s right and fulfilling to God?” Three, just have some good music that you can play to anybody, and they can love it and bump it in their car and get a message out of it.
JTH: Do you make music with other people?
Aaron: I do. On the Fifteen Is the New XV EP, I didn’t do a lot of features, but on the next project I’ll probably get a lot of people from Mixed Bag join in as well as some other relationships that I have. I have some of my family on my most recent project. My family is a group of singers and can sing well, except for my dad. One other feature on Fifteen Is the New XV was Cire from a record label from my big homie Emory Anderson, Lane Change Music Group.
JTH: Where do you live, and how do you like where you live?
Aaron: I live in Bristol, Virginia. It’s about an hour from Knoxville, Tennessee. It’s weird because my city is at the state line, so if I cross the street right now, I’m in Tennessee, but right now, I’m in Virginia. It’s pretty cool, quiet, the country, so it’s not busy. It’s not bad with criminal rates. We have some here or there, but it’s a pretty good city. I love VA.
JTH: I know it’s a while away, but are you planning to go to college after finishing high school?
Aaron: Hopefully. Right now, it looks like I may be homeschooled because I’m getting busy. If I don’t go to a regular college, then I’ll do college online and get a degree.
JTH: Is there anything else that you want to say or talk about?
Aaron: Look for future stuff with Mixed Bag and [me]. I’m humbled to be a part of this group with Da’ T.R.U.T.H., TJ Pompeo, Prayz1, Promise, TC Thomas Clay, and Virtue, whom I heard is coming out with new stuff, so be looking out for that.
