He says that social media and the Internet make him very accessible, and though people may engage with him online he works to stay humble, saying, “they have flattering comments for me, I just try to remind myself that even though I might not understand it because I’m just me, I hangout with me every day, so it’s not a big deal, and the people I keep around me don’t think I’m a big deal either, but when you’re around someone who does think that way, I’m just reminded to be gracious with them because you never know how your music might have impacted somebody else, or the inspiration you might have given them. They might have spent hours in their car listening to you and then they’re finally getting their chance to meet you, and so I can understand why they would be excited or give me flattering comments, so I don’t actually believe them in a sense where ‘Oh, they think I’m awesome so I am awesome.’” He says that he has enough people around him to keep him balanced so he wont be overcome with such thoughts.

Andy Mineo says that he does appreciate the flattering comments from his listeners and fans.

“They’re usually from a genuine place of appreciation.”
