Filmed on a rooftop in Denver, this lyrical deathbed scene, composed and narrated by spoken word artist Adam Skinner, holds beauty in broken moments as close to hopeful as mere words can be.

Adam is a poet and pastor at Scum of the Earth Church in Denver. He’s performed poetry at the 11th Ave Art Gallery during First Friday artwalks, in church services, and over an improv jazz trio every week for a year and a half at the Speakeasy open mic. He believes that the heavens really do declare the glory of God when the setting sun flames red past the peaks of the Rocky Mountains, and that redemption, the most beautiful thing on the planet, is designed for people with scars.
