Humble Beast Records recently signed Philly bred emcee Eshon Burgundy. The Blood Rushing To My Head crafter joining forces with the already strong Humble Beast roster (Alert312, Beautiful Eulogy, Braille, Citizen Aim, Courtland Urbano, DJ Efechto, Foreknown, Lee Green, Odd Thomas, and Propaganda.) was a power move. Burgundy’s For God’s Sake mixtape and A Sky Above A Blaze album are coming out in the near future.

With everything that’s going on at Humble Beast, one cannot help but visit their website to get new information. Many Christian Hip Hop fans have visited the Humble Beast website in the last few months and are realizing something odd. Theory Hazit, a well-respected lyrist, is no longer on the Humble Beast artist list. In April of 2013, after Eshon Burgundy was officially signed, a fan of Theory Hazit asked Braille what was up with the Portland, Oregon-based emcee. (Tweet Information found through Holy Culture forum user: cculley121).

This is what Braille responded with:

It seems like Theory Hazit will be still be doing production for Humble Beast, but based on the HB website, he is no longer signed to the Humble Beast imprint. DaSouth hopes that all is well with Theory Hazit. We will contact Theory Hazit and Humble Beast to learn about what they have planned for the near future.

Theory Hazit is a respected Hip Hop artist who has worked with the likes of Ohmega Watts, Othello, Hi-Tek, Exile, Sho Baraka, Strange Fruit Project, Oddisee, Shai Linne, KJ-52, MC Eiht, The ARE, Wildchild from LootPack, LMNO, D-Maub, B.Reith and more. He has released projects like Thr3e (Lord Fire 3), The Rock Is Steady and Extra Credit, among others. Hazit is gearing up to make some music with producer Zack C (@creamofbeats).

How this new music drops, on a label or independent, hasn’t been revealed.

Stay tuned to DaSouth for more information.
