Lamp Mode Recordings’ artist S.O. released a new single titled “I See You.” The song is described as “an upbeat summer jam dedicated to all of the women following Christ.” In further detail,
“I wrote it for everybody, but I specifically wrote it with my girl in mind,” S.O. said of the track, which celebrates biblical womanhood. “I wanted to make a song that my fiancée and her sisters could bounce to.”
“I See You” was produced by GP and mixes hip-hop with a music genre called Afrobeat.
“If you are from the continent of Africa, you’ve been exposed to Afrobeat,” S.O. said. “As a Nigerian, I wanted to make music that represents where I’m from. It’s one of the most growing, popular music styles, but most people don’t know about it.”
